iHEART Run 2026: Run with Heart, Serve with Purpose
On
29 May 2026, students and staff of Anderson Serangoon Junior College gathered
at The Kallang for the annual iHEART Run. Anchored on the theme, "Run with
Heart, Serve with Purpose", the event brought together the college community
for a morning of fitness, camaraderie and meaningful service.
More than just a race, iHEART Run seeks to encourage an active lifestyle while fostering stronger bonds among family, friends and the wider college community. The strong participation and enthusiasm displayed both on race day and in the lead-up to the event reflected the spirit of iHEART Run, as members of the ASR community came together to support one another and embrace the joy of running.
This year's event was especially meaningful as ASRJC partnered with the Rare Disorders Society (Singapore) (RDSS), a non-profit charity dedicated to supporting individuals living with rare diseases and their families. The collaboration, helmed by ASRJC MedSOC, provided an opportunity for students to learn more about the rare disease community and the challenges they face, while reinforcing the importance of empathy, service and social responsibility.
The event also featured the highly anticipated Inter-House and Inter-Department Challenges, which saw enthusiastic participation from students and staff alike. Houses rallied behind one another through spirited cheers and encouragement, while departments demonstrated remarkable teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the event. Congratulations to Helios House for emerging as the overall House Champion and to the English Department for clinching the Inter-Department title.
Beyond the competition, iHEART Run 2026 was a celebration of community spirit, resilience and service. Through meaningful partnerships, friendly competition and collective participation, the event embodied the college motto, Discere Servire – Non Mihi Solum ("To Learn, To Serve – Not For Myself Alone"), reminding all participants that every step taken can contribute towards a greater purpose.
ASRJC extends its appreciation to all participants, organisers, volunteers
and partners who contributed to the success of iHEART Run 2026 and made
the event a memorable and meaningful experience for the college community.
