Direct School Admission (DSA-JC) Exercise 2024
## Anderson Serangoon Junior College (ASRJC) welcomes students with talent in various fields to apply for entry to the college through Direct School Admission (DSA). For more information on DSA, please refer to MOE DSA-JC website.
1) DSA Talent Areas
We are looking for students with talent in the following areas:
*Applicants who are interested in finding out more about DSA to ASRJC through Humanities Programme and/or Leadership are encouraged to attend a tea session virtually on 15 May, 3.30pm. Kindly indicate your interest in the form here. The deadline for signing up is 10 May.

2) Application Process
Step 1: Application
- Submit online application form through this link(from 7 May onwards).
- The deadline for the submission of online application forms is Friday 12 July 2024.
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their application well in advance of the deadline to be considered for Phase 1.
- Applicants are required to attach scanned copies of the following along with their application:
- Secondary School Report book with Sec 3 Weighted Assessment, Sec 3 Year-end and Sec 4 Weighted Assessment (or equivalent) results, including copies of latest school academic results if available.
- For Secondary 5NA applicants: GCE (NA)-Level Examination results
- School CCA records
- Relevant certifications and/or records of achievement related to the talent area
- Personal statement (in application form)
- Applicants may go ahead to submit the application form first if the official documents are unavailable.
Step 2: Trials/Auditions
• Attend the in-person selection trials/auditions if shortlisted. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted to attend the trial.
Step 3: Interview
• Attend the in-person interview if further shortlisted. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified by email to attend the interview.
Special Note:

Applicants who are not offered a place in Phase 1 need not resubmit, as all applications will be considered for both Phase 1 and 2 (if there is vacancy).

Please note that successful DSA-JC candidates will NOT be allowed to participate in the Joint Admissions Exercise. They will also NOT be allowed to transfer to another school after the release of the GCE O-Level examination results. They are expected to honour their commitment to the DSA-JC schools and to participate in activities related to the talent selected in, for the duration of the programme admitted to. Students who do not fulfil their DSA commitment without valid reason may be required to transfer out to another school.
3. Selection Process
Trials / Auditions
Applicants for Sports* & Performing Arts talent areas will be shortlisted for trials/auditions based on evidence of the following aspects:
- Track record, experience, and commitment to the talent area.
- Achievements, qualifications, and certifications in the talent area.
No trials will be conducted for Shooting. Selection will be based on other relevant criteria.*
Interviews
Applicants for Sports & Performing Arts talent areas will be further shortlisted for interviews based on their performance at trials / auditions.
Students applying for the following DSA talent areas will be shortlisted for interviews based on their application submissions:
- Science & Technology
- Tamil Language Elective Programme
- Humanities Programme
- Leadership
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an in-person interview to enable the College to better understand the:
- Applicant’s interest/passion for the specific talent area;
- Applicant’s experiences (if any) in nurturing the specific talent area (e.g., through school CCA, sport academies/clubs or private coaching);
- Applicant’s motivation for joining ASRJC;
- Applicant’s ability to cope with JC curriculum.
